It's lonely at the top!

Balancing this thing called boss life has been a true challenge. But the question is, can it be done? Yes, BOSS LADY it can be done. I have learned to make time for everything without overworking myself. There have been times when I wanted to give up but GOD said no ma’am you will prevail.

I know it seems as if you can’t do it, because you don't have any real friends or maybe your family has shown their true colors. Or maybe you just don’t have the resources to get your business started. The secret is to believe and then create from there you will have to distance yourself from the haters. You cannot have people leeching on to you that have not put in the same work or time as you.

Because It can get lonely at the top those so-called family and friends will try to come back around. Do not be misled bad association spoils useful habits.

I have a brand boss class that I teach to new entrepreneurs so head over to my contacts and schedule a consultation.

Stay classy.

Vegan Desserts

Hi everyone,

I have a couple vegan recipes for you to try. The first one is a chocolate cake, however, I made it into cupcakes. It turned out absolutely delicious. Please, let me know if you try it and tag me on insta! The second recipe are vegan chocolate chips that were amazing.

2 cups of sugar I used sugar in the raw

1/2 cup coconut oil

2 tsp espresso powder or coffee

1 tsp salt

1 tsp vinegar

1 cup of cocoa power

2 cups of all -purpose flour

For the chocolate butter cream

1 cup vegan butter

6 cups of 10x icing sugar

1/2 salt

1 and 1/3 cup of cacao powder

2/3 of non-dairy milk

2 tsp of pure vanilla extract

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees

2.   Butter your cake pan or cupcake pan and line it with parchment paper. I used a pan that didn’t need this because the cupcakes pop out. You can find this pan on Amazon it actually helps the baking process, but if you don’t have this you need to do this step.

3. Next, you will need to mix all of the cake ingredients. Mix dry ingredients first and then the wet ingredients together.

4. When the batter is smooth you should divide it between cake pans, or pour into the cupcake pan and bake for about 20-25 mins.

5.  Please let the cake cool before frosting.

6. Once it is cooled decorate as you please.

For the butter cream:

  1. Melt the butter.

  2. Then stir in the cocoa powder, vanilla and salt.

  3. While stirring please add the 10 x sugar until smooth.

  4. Taste and adjust as you like.

For the vegan chocolate chip cookies

1/2 to 2 cups of all purpose flour

3/4 tsp baking powder

3/4 tsp baking soda

1/2 tsp salt

2 cups dark chocolate chips used 70% of cocoa

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup 1 tbsp sunflower or canola oil

1/4 cup of water ( please adjust to your liking)

1. In a large bowl, stir the baking powder, baking soda and salt. And then add the chocolate chips.

2. In another bowl blend in the sugars, oil and water please blend well because this can get very clumpy.

3. Then add the flour mixture and stir until there is no flour visible.

4. VERY IMPORTANT STEP after everything is combined cover with plastic and refrigerate for 12-24 hours.

5. Preheat the oven to 350 F remove dough and roll into a ball then place it on a sheet pan with parchment paper finally, bake for 13 mins.

6. Let it cool and serve.

Chocolate Brownie Vegan Cookies.

Hi, Cooking Team,

Try these Chocolate Brownie Vegan Cookies they are amazing.

1 cup of flour (I used gluten-free)

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1/2 cup of sugar

1/4 tsp salt

1/4 baking powder

3/4 tsp baking soda

6tbsp oil

5 tbsp nondairy milk (Almond or oat is great)

1 1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/3 cup mini chocolate chips ( I ran out so I don’t have any in this batch)

Mix your dry ingredients in a mixing bowl. Please, make sure you blend very well otherwise, you will have clumps of baking soda in the cookie, trust me! Stir in your liquids until you have a dough. Then roll them into balls and place it in a preheated oven for 325 F. After that make sure you have a cookie pan that is lightly greased. Bake for 9-10 minutes, then let it sit for about 11 minutes. Once cooled press each cookie down with a spoon or spatula. These will turn out soft and chewy, which is what you want! Tag me on Instagram with your photos if you try it. Enjoy!

Try this amazing dairy free milk.

This is a simple Oat Milk recipe that you will love because it can be used for pretty much anything. I prefer it my coffee and smoothies. However, I wouldn’t drink this by itself because of the rich taste.

1 cup of organic oats

1 cup of water

2 dates or agave to sweet (optional)

1 tablespoon of vanilla extract (optional)

For this recipe, soak the oats for about 30 minutes in a mason jar. Then pour the oats into a strainer and rinse.

After the rinse pour the oats into a blender and add 1 cup of water. Mix this until you get the consistency you prefer. Then add in the dates and vanilla, this will vary depending on how sweet you want it. Enjoy!

Look at the gorgeous texture!

Smoothies to replace meals!

Hi everyone,

I am so excited to share these smoothie drinks I have been making. My husband did buy me a juicer, however, I am still on the smoothie trend! (LOL)

These smoothies are delicious and I have replaced my meals with them. The first one is the carrot and orange smoothie & the next one is the blueberry smoothie. I am considering creating a youtube channel to document my health journey. However, until then try these and let me know which one you prefer.

Recipes: Orange smoothie

3-6 carrots cut up

1 orange

Orange juice

1 cut up apple or pear

Start with your liquids first so your blender can blend well. Then put in the carrots, oranges, and apples until a nice texture appears. If you want to add a sweetener like agave you can but I prefer it like this. This will actually taste good in a juicer as well.

Berry smoothie

1 pack of frozen berry mix

Blueberries, Raspberries & Strawberries,

1 kiwi cut up

Coconut milk (Or any nondairy nut milk will do)

Half of a banana

1 tablespoon of flaxseed meal

Pour the coconut milk in the blender then put it the berries. Let this blend for about a minute, then put in the kiwi, banana and flaxseed meal. A beautiful color will appear and a gorgeous texture. If you like your smoothie cold you can add in ice cubes, however, I prefer it as it is.

Half of an Avocado

1 Banana

Coconut milk or Almond milk

Agave or Dates for a sweeter taste

Place the banana and spinach in a blender until you get a nice blend, then pour in the milk of your choice. Next, put in the avocado and sweetener and blend until you get a creamy texture.

Become the woman you want to be.

Transforming into the woman I have become today has been amazing. I am excited to teach aspiring models my knowledge and speak to women who have ever doubted themselves. My journey of modeling was not easy if you can only imagine how many times I was told no! I remember when an agency told me “we just don’t like your look”. At 18 I was devastated, however, that made me stronger and wiser. After I was told that I got signed to a major agency in Milan Italy. But let’s fast forward to 2018. I am a cum laude graduate with two degrees new mom, a future wife to be and running several businesses. I honestly could not ask for anything more. But now God has put me here to help you with your brand, because let’s face it, you need to bring your value to the marketplace. And sometimes we do not know how to do that. So, boss lady click HERE to sign up for my next webinar or, if you prefer one on one contact me HERE.

The Life of A Real Model.

Ok dolls, in this post I am going to keep it 100% REAL! The life of a model is not as glamorous as it may seem for starters new models do not know where to begin and others get scammed into doing things. ‘Learn to read between the lines’. I honestly wish there was someone like me for every new model starting out! But, honestly people are just selfish in today's society. No-one wants to teach the knowledge of the industry.  Fortunately, when I started modeling I was able to get signed at an early age. I signed with Elite Model Management in Chicago, and in another post I will focus primarily on the pros and cons with agencies.

Girls ask me all the time what is the true life of a model? Honestly SIS, its hard.  A model has to stay a certain weight to keep getting bookings. A model has to keep updating her portfolio. A model has to recognize competition, because new models are always being discovered. A model has understand rejection. And If you are blessed to be signed your agent constantly checks your measurements. While all of that is going on you better have another job, because you are not making money until you land that BIG JOB! WHY? because it's expensive to keep a model wardrobe, shoe bag, basic grooming and paying for your comp cards. This is why I teach model 101 in my webinar sessions so aspiring models can learn the tools on how to be successful. Project Runway.

New York Fashion Week has always been a great time for me especially when I started modeling about 10 years ago. However, today I am producing and speaking on panels. But one of the shows I want to highlight in this post is when I worked with project runway. I walked the runway for designer Patricia Michaels she was amazing to work with. The cool thing about this dress is that it was made out of duck tape. If you want to learn the key tools of the model/fashion world and how to be successful, sign up for my webinar course.

Curry Shrimp Recipe.

Hi beauties this is my famous curry shrimp with vegetables. My family requests this dish at least once a week, because not only is it healthy, but its GOOD! And very simple for me to prepare. To make this dish all you need is olive oil, vegetables of your choice and a side dish I use Quinoa. I make it without using dairy products because of my husbands diet. The recipe is below please, let me know if you make it and send photos.

1- 1½ lb. extra large shrimp peeled and deveined

2- tablespoons virgin olive oil

1 teaspoons fresh minced thyme

large garlic cloves minced

1 medium onion chopped

2 green onions chopped

1 large zucchini

1/2 -1 Tablespoon curry powder

½ red bell/ green bell pepper diced

1 scotch bonnet pepper optional

Cajun season or salt to taste

Heat oil over medium heat in a sauce pan. Add onions, garlic, thyme, curry powder and sauté for about 2-3 minutes. If using scotch bonnet pepper add at this time. Add green onions, Zucchini and bring it to a boil then simmer for about 7-10 minutes. Toss in shrimp, and bell peppers. And cook for another 3-5 minutes. Adjust for salt / pepper and thickness. Serve with quinoa, rice or as seen a small salad.

New Beauty Secret!

Hello beauties, I wanted to share a beauty secret that I recently discovered.

And it is called Rhassoul Clay. It is a clay from Morocco that can be used for skin and hair.

I recently started using it and my skin loves it. My post before focused on what I do internally for my body. However, I didn’t speak on my skincare regimen. I do this twice a week followed up by a moisturizer.
This clay can be purchased on Amazon.

Recipe for a great mask for face.

10 drops of any oil. I used Jojoba oil.

1 TBSP of the Rhassoul Clay

2 TBSP of rose water or distilled water

Let me know how it works for you, but remember to always test it before putting it on your entire face. Also do not use silverware.

Enjoy Lovelies

One of the reasons why I started this blog was to tell my REAL experiences. Skin issues have always been a sticky situation for me. When I first started my career as a model, I had the typical breakouts but nothing major. However, as I started getting older and traveling more, my skin started getting crazy pimples. I thought wow I never had this as a teen so this must be payback lol.

I always kept a regimen, but I don’t think I focused on what was really good for my skin. Fast forward to my life today my skin has been literally a battle. I get blackheads and crazy blemishes all the time. Being frustrated and angry I had to figure out a way to control this. And yes, I tried everything from over the counter items and doctor prescriptions. They would work for a while, but then it appeared again. However, when I got pregnant with my son, it disappeared I was excited for that pregnancy glow. I was blessed with that for nine glorious months. And I thought yes, no more skin issues.

I fooled myself lol as soon as my son was born It all came back but WORSE. At that point I realized it was my hormones. I needed to control it in order for my skin to get better. I started eating better and drinking herbal teas and detoxing with water and lemon. I realized I needed to cleanse myself from within. This helped me tremendously. Once I started focusing on myself internally my skin cleared up.

So, ladies when it comes down to skin issues try to find the root of the problem it could be what you're eating, hormones, stress, lack of sleep, or even getting older. Once you figure out the problem focus on the solution. And take your time with these kinds of situations because our skin needs tender love and care.

If you are going through skin issues message me on Instagram or email me your story.

You could be on my next panel for TMKG.

The Journey Of Motherhood.

These suggestions are my personal experiences only. I am not a doctor or certified nurse.

Today's post will focus on breastfeeding what my son eats and my overall new journey.

Becoming a new mom has been such an interesting journey, and I want to share my knowledge and advice with other new moms.

I have learned a lot, such as how to breastfeed what formula to use if my baby hated my breast milk and understanding my baby.

The one thing that I can say is to LEARN YOUR BABY understand what he or she likes and wants.

Breastfeed your baby as long as you can it is considered to be the healthiest and effective. Some mothers can't breastfeed, because of health reasons etc, if this is your case consult with a doctor to give you the best advice on organic formula or tips on a healthier lifestyle.

I am still breastfeeding my son he will be 7 months this week, he also eats organic oat-meal with puree fruit and vegetables. I use spoons that show when the food is hot. This tool has been a life-saver. Please check photos of what I use below.

Breastfeeding is a special way to bond with your baby. I learned that skin to skin worked better for me especially when my son was born. Latching is also very important, you want to make sure your baby is getting your milk. I had a lactation for the first couple months of post-delivery. It helped, however, if you can’t get this ask your doctor or call the nurse hotline provided by the hospital you delivered at.

I have so much to share with you new mama's, but I don't want to make this a super long post. I will separate each thing each week.

Until next time
